LANY (Lay-nee) is a Los Angeles based band of three, consisting of Paul Klein, Leslie (Les) Priest, and Jake Goss. Their band name represents LA and NY combined together, which are two significant cities to them.
They have influences of R&B and a 80’s pop feel. With flowing lyrics, catchy drum beats, and a combination of atmospheric synths, their songs will make you feel something strong inside. Dive deep into their lyrics and you will know what I mean.
Their debut album came out on June 30, 2017. This 16 track project is one that will have you dancing and crying at the same time (which isn’t always a bad thing right?). The album showcases slow and heartfelt songs, along with other upbeat tracks. ILYSB, their most known song, is also included in the project. This song was released on an EP back in 2015, but it probably only felt right to put it on their debut album. ILYSB is the song that started to spotlight their success.
Check out my favorite tracks from their self-titled debut album, LANY.
I recently went to their show in North Carolina and it was far better than I could have imagined. They are as great performers as they are song writers and musicians. The performance was riveting, surreal, and connected.
Don’t miss the chance to see this band when they have a show near you. You won’t be disappointed!

In just a couple years they have went from performing for 50 people, to selling out two consecutive nights at the Wiltern in LA. Keep an eye out for LANY, they are only going to get bigger.
